The short version
When you click a “Check price” link and buy something, we may receive a commission from the retailer. It costs you nothing extra. The price you pay is the same as it would be if you had navigated there directly.
Which links
Every commissioned link on this site carries rel="sponsored nofollow" in its markup, which is the standard Google requires for monetised links. If you want to check whether a specific link is commissioned, that attribute is the answer.
Internal links between our own pages, and links to manufacturers, federations or research, are never commissioned.
What it does not affect
The specification table behind every recommendation (height, thickness, closure, material, minimum waist, taper, competition legality) is completed before any affiliate link is attached, and commission rate is not one of its fields. Belts with no affiliate program are recommended on the same terms as belts that pay well.
We also keep belts on our lists that we criticise, including two of the highest-commission products in this category, because their specifications are a poor fit for many of this site’s readers.
Legal
This disclosure is provided in line with the US Federal Trade Commission’s Endorsement Guides, which require clear and conspicuous disclosure of material connections between a publisher and the products it recommends. A disclosure notice also appears at the top of every page on this site.
Before launch: name the specific programs you join here, for example the Amazon Associates Program, which requires its own prescribed disclosure wording, plus any direct brand partnerships. Add the required verbatim statement for each program you are accepted into.
